There are many fine education facilities within Hawke’s Bay ranging from pre-school to tertiary.

The Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) has one of the best campuses in New Zealand offering specialist programmes targeted to the agriculture and horticulture industries, plus many standard degree and diploma courses.

Hereworth Preparatory School in Havelock North is a private school for children aged 5-12. There are also a number of highly regarded state-integrated schools offering boarding options, such as Iona College and Woodford House in Havelock North, and Lindisfarne College in Hastings.

Based in Havelock North Taruna College is a learning place for adults and provides professional training, refresher and self-development courses.
