Breckenridge Lodge
Opulent relaxation in a pleasant rural setting,

You will enter the lodge through the guest entrance and you are welcome to come and go as you please. The lodge has such a lovely setting, it is likely that you will want to venture outside and take a walk, either through the garden or further a field. If you enjoy walking or jogging, and want to build up your appetite in preparation for your "dining experience" you can safely walk or run alongside the vineyard and past other rural properties in the area. There is always something interesting to look at and you'll return feeling refreshed and relaxed.
Guest Rooms
Breckenridge Lodge has five private guest bedrooms, each with a spectacular view overlooking a vineyard and expansive rural landscape. The downstairs suite has wheelchair access, and all of the rooms are air conditioned and have their own ensuite bathroom.
Guest Lounge
The private guest lounge is a place you can relax and unwind, and it too has a spectacular view. The French doors will lead you out to the patio should you wish to get a closer look at the surroundings, however if you choose to spend time inside, there are plenty of good books to read, music to listen to and other guests to socialise with if you'd like to share a memory or holiday story. This room is also air conditioned for those hot summer nights, but also has a wonderful open fire to sit by during the crisp, winter evenings.
Guest Dining Room
The guest dining room is a focal point of the house. This room is particularly special, again with uninterrupted vineyard and rural views. This very inviting room has a warm, relaxed and sumptuous feel about it, and is the perfect environment to experience Malcolm's superb cuisine. Having been a chef for over 25 years working for the Royal New Zealand Air Force, the prestigious Huka Lodge in Taupo, The George Hotel in Christchurch and the restaurants at Te Awa Farm and Church Road wineries. Malcolm is able to tempt you with the very best of his culinary expertise and experience.You will sit with other guests, so you will be sure to be entertained, sharing tales of your day out in Wine Country Hawkes Bay.
Wine Cellar
To complement the top quality cuisine, Malcolm can recommend you taste local and other excellent New Zealand wines from the lodges cellar, as well as an exciting range from abroad. Malcolm will assist you to choose a wine that complements your evening meal or your picnic lunch.
