Established in 1851 by the French Marist religious order, Mission Estate Winery is New Zealands oldest winemaker. Today, Mission Estate is one of Hawke's Bay's largest established wineries, with a well-respected reputation in both the New Zealand and international markets as a producer of consistent quality, value for money wines.
CELLAR DOOR
Mission are proud of being New Zealand's oldest winemakers. We invite you to walk through time and history in a setting that compliments the old and new. The cellar has gone through a number of challenges including relocating, fires, earthquakes, expansion and more recently the completion of the spectacular underground cellar. Join us in tasting an extensive range of award winning wines.
RESTAURANT
The upgraded seminary building at the Mission provides a unique location for the ever-popular restaurant. The elevated historic building offers extensive views of the vineyard and Hawke's Bay. CONFERENCES
The Estate offers an array of conference facilities that vary from intimacy to corporate functions. The Red Room is a small elegant room able to be separated from the main dining area and used as a private venue. The Chapel has high vaulted ceilings, arched windows and wood panelling suitable for weddings, large corporate meetings/dinners/functions. It is fully contained with French doors opening out on to a terraced lawn, and has a raised staging area for entertainment. For room capacities click here

Our reception venue, The Chapel, with its high vaulted ceilings and arched windows, is a beautiful and dramatic venue for a wedding.
